Tips for Cleaning the Oven

Since the inside of your oven is usually out-of-sight, it's hard to spot when it's dirty. With any oven, over time, burnt food residue will build up causing smoke and unwanted smells. Later, odors and flavors will transfer to the food.

How often to clean a single wall oven? It may depend on your cooking routine. In general, it's good practice to clean the oven once a month. It will need to be cleaned when you see below sings:

1. The door is splattered with grease or grime.

2. Smoke building up within the oven.

3. The bottom of the oven has a crusty, burned residue.

4. You can smell smoke and grease.

If your electric wall oven with self-cleaning function, just like Junsky built-in electric oven Pro ES710TS, it's acceptable to use it if the oven is dirty. Self-cleaning mode uses high temperature to melt and burn away grease and grime. You just need to simply wipe down after the self-cleaning cycle is finished. But, if your oven is very dirty, it's best to clean it manually.

Below are some tips for cleaning the wall oven:

1. Let the oven completely cool and remove all the racks, thermometers and broiler pans in the oven cavity.

2. Following the instructions on the cleaner label, spray the cleaner on the interior of the oven surface including the door. Some oven doors can be removed for cleaning, such as the Junsky 24 inch & 30inch electric oven. Its removable oven door is convenient for deep cleaning. However, do not spray the cleaner on electric heating elements. Many cleaners will take 30 minutes to work.

3. While you're waiting, you can remove the racks and holders. Spray the cleaner to both sides of the racks and wait for 20 to 30 minutes.
4. When time is up, use a damp sponge to wipe down all the surfaces in the interior of the oven and the racks. Don't forget to give the outside a cleaner with damp microfiber cloth as well.

Once everything is clean, place the racks back in the oven and it is ready to use.

From a hygiene perspective, cleaning the wall oven is essential. The odor and smoke inside of a hot dirty oven can also contaminate any food you cook in it, to clean the built-in oven regularly is the best practice.
